A First For Marco

Today's Discussion



Marco: Mom I feel a line in my mouth.

Mom: That is the space between your teeth.

Marco: (now if front of his mother with mouth slightly opened and his tongue pressing against the back of his teeth) I feel the line on the bottom of my teeth mom!

Mom: Oh, that is your gum line, that is normal you should feel that.



Pleased with that answer, the day moves on.

A couple of hours later, we are now at the salon.



Marco: Mom, can you just look and see this line? It feels funny.

Mom: (thinking here we go again) Yes, come here.

Marco: (leans forward mouth open wide)

Mom: (peers in, and goes back for a double take, then checks to see if bottom front tooth wiggles and gasps) Oh my goodness Marco, you have a loose tooth and that funny line you feel is your new tooth that has broke through! You have your first loose tooth buddy! Whooo Hoooo!!!

Marco: (grinning ear to ear) My first loose tooth! Let's call somebody!
