Where have all the feminists gone?

I was reading a newsletter and this article stated the very question I brought up to my husband the other night.
With how much our country seems to be revering Islam and considering Sharia Law to be upheld here, I was wondering where all the out cry was, myself. Where are all these women that regard our rights? So they only regard them in the work place and for abortion? Have they even blinked an eye at Islam and looked into what it means for a woman? Although, I know many of them are quick to trash Christianity in the women's rights arena. Even though upon further investigation, you would see there is nothing oppressive to a woman in Christianity. Certainly, beating a woman is not considered honorable in Christianity. However, it is in Islam! It is honorable apparently because the man can not beat the woman in the face and make her ugly, nor curse her while beating her. Well, then! By all means my dear feminists, continue your deafening silence!!!

Especially since there is a Beating Etiquette in place to honor the woman;
"The prophet Muhammad said: "Don't beat her in the face, and do not make her ugly." See how she is honored. If the husband beats his wife, he must not beat her in the face. Even when he beats her, he must not curse her. This is incredible! He beats her in order to discipline her."
Hillary Clinton? Gloria Steinem? Simone de Beavoir? Elizabeth Wurtzel? Eve Ensler? Joy Behar? Whoopi Goldberg? Jane Pauley? Lisa Ling? Oprah? Helen Fieldings? Katha Pollitt? Anita Hill? Katie Roiphe? Megan McCain? Nancy Pelosi? Hollywood? MTV? Charlize Theron? Sandra Bullock? NPR? Reese Witherspoon? TIME? Madamoiselle? Seventeen? Jane? Cosmopolitan? Vogue? YM? Anyone? Anyone? Of course I don't expect any of the above to step up and speak out, they are partaking in the hijacking of feminism, they have made what feminism stands for ugly especially, with it's 100% support of murdering the unborn and making women less responsible for their actions every year and continuing to preach beliefs that makes it hard for a woman to find marriage material or even be marriage material themselves.
