Sitting at Costco eating lunch. The table ahead of us is hosting a grandma, teenage granddaughter and grandson. The teenage girl is eating pizza with her plastic fork. The plastic fork broke and a piece is in the pizza (but not really in the pizza), the grandma wants to take the pizza slice back for a new one, for fear the teenage girl might choke if she proceeds to eat the pizza. Thank goodness for the sanity and ingenuity of the teenage girl, she insisted on finding the broken piece and removing it from the vicinity of the pizza and plate. She can now eat the pizza without a need for a new one. But grandma did get her teenage granddaughter a new fork (can't eat with a broken fork after all) God Bless her!
They had me in a giggling storm right there in the middle of the Costco Cafe all by myself as my kiddos had gone to the restroom to wash their hands.
It also made me think if
Lenore of Free Range Kids was there with me, she would most certainly be joining me in my laugh fest.

Read the book and maybe next time you can join me in my giggle storm/laugh fest. :~D
Oooooo another unschooling book! YAY!
ReplyDeletehaha, I don't know if I would put it in the unschooling category (well, I guess it depends on your perspective) the author seems to be pro-school.
